Description of the programme: The aim of the programme is to train experts with a comprehensive knowledge of theoretical and practical issues of Italian studies and general topics of humanities and social sciences, enabling them to pursue their profession in a multifaceted, inter- and multidisciplinary way.

The courses provide thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and prepare students for participation in MA programmes in Italian studies. In addition to Italian language training (based on skills such as reading, writing, listening, presentation techniques and grammar), the programme offers a wide variety of courses in literature, linguistics, history and cultural studies, approaching these through a whole range of subject areas (such as media studies, semiotics, theoretical and applied linguistics, general and social history, and gender studies).
