Once again, SZTE is among the top 550 universities

Among the Hungarian universities, SZTE is still the 1st on the list of QS World University Rankings 2017/2018. Similarly to previous years, SZTE is between the 501-550th place, as a result it is considered to be the best 2% of 26.000 institutions from all over the world.

Quacquarelly Symonds (QS), which is one of the most prestigious British company ranking higher educational institutions, has published its latest list. 4,000 universities were examined and 980 out of them were ranked. Among the examined institutions, SZTE is in the top 13% of the best universities and it obtains the best possible result among the Hungarian institutions.

The ranking was conducted by six aspects, such as the evaluation of the academic sphere and employers, the quotation of scientific research, the student-instructor ratio as well as the number of foreign students and academic staff.

I came from a city where young women have recently successfully fought against the mentality that had not allowed them to go to study abroad.5 years ago families were extremely protective over their daughters, but nowadays it has been changed into a new perception which allows girls to have the freedom to choose their way of life: career and personal development.

The Student life here is buzzing with hundreds of international students from all around the world. What I love in here is that you bump into students everywhere, from both Hungary and all around the world, and that despite our differences we are kinda accepted in town. I looked University of Szeged up on the internet and, when I saw that this was called the city of sunshine, it became clear in my mind that it would be the place, where I wanted to be as an Erasmus student. Szeged was far beyond my expectations, and I am glad to be able to admire the beauty of this city. The nature itself has the power to calm me down, so the Botanic Garden of the University is a special place to me.
